Linus the Leprechaun visited us on St. Patrick's Day again this year. We were a little worried, because he didn't make it to our house until late in the day, but he did FINALLY come. We chased him all over the house, but weren't able to catch him again this year. He is always one step ahead of us! This year, we found our first clue in the mailbox and it told us to go inside where we found this. . .
From the first riddle we figured out that Linus wanted us to go to where all of Ryan's toys are kept. We found that he had made a staircase so he could play with some of Ryan's toys. He left another clue AND that tricky leprechaun left a St. Patrick's Day activity for Ryan to complete.
Color By Number -- we all worked on it together.
Apparently, after he played with some toys, Linus used a necklace to make a rope ladder so that he could climb into the fridge and help himself to a snack. Sneaky, sneaky!
All that milk made Linus have to pee and to our surprise his pee is green! Sure took that little Leprechaun a lot of work to reach the potty!
Then it was off for a nap. . . Linus even left his leprechaun size slewing bag and pillow!
After his nap, it looked like Linus got together a group of Ryan's stuffed animals and read them a leprechaun sized book. It was a silly one called I Have to Go by Robert Munsch.
After a trip to Ryan's art table . . .
Linus head back upstairs for a bath -- he even left his green glittery water in the sink!
Linus escaped out the front door . . .
and managed to go for a spin around the neighborhood in the car . . .
before leaving a green glitter trail . . .
ALL the way to the backyard! On the back patio we found that Linus had left us some new wooden blocks and some chocolate cupcakes with GREEN frosting and mini chocolate chips on top!
That silly Linus!
Ryan is already hoping that Linus will be back next year . . .
